The steady hand the big bottles deserve.
Large-format bottles are heavy, awkward, and — after years in the cellar — full of sediment. Ours holds the bottle and lets you pour by the degree, so the wine comes out clear and the ceremony stays intact.
A great old wine can spend fifteen years settling — and be ruined in a single clumsy tilt. The cradle is the difference between pouring a big bottle and fighting one.
Over years in the rack, tannins and pigment fall out of the wine and gather along the low side of the bottle. Stand it upright too fast, or pour from the shoulder, and that sediment clouds the glass.
Held in the cradle, the bottle stays in the attitude it rested in. A geared mechanism lets you raise the neck degree by degree, so the wine leaves the bottle before the sediment does — no guesswork, no shaking forearm holding six litres steady over dinner.
It is, in the end, a small piece of engineering in service of a slow pleasure.
Geared control
A unique gear and bearing mechanism moves the neck in fine increments and holds position under load — no drift mid-pour.
Built for the big ones
Balanced for the weight and length of large-format bottles, from a 1.5 L magnum up to an 18 L Melchior.
Engineered to complement
Discreet enough to let the bottle speak for itself, yet refined enough to deserve its place alongside it.
Precision where it counts, restraint everywhere else.
